Connect Shopify or WooCommerce

Connecting your store puts a buyer's order history beside their conversation, so "where is my order" is answered from the real order rather than from memory.

Shopify

  1. Open Settings → Integrations → Shopify.
  2. Click Install. You are sent to Shopify to approve the permissions it asks for.
  3. Approve, and you land back in the dashboard with the store connected.
  4. The first sync pulls products and recent orders. A large catalogue takes a few minutes.

WooCommerce

  1. In WordPress, go to WooCommerce → Settings → Advanced → REST API and Add key.
  2. Give it Read/Write permission and copy the consumer key and secret — WordPress shows them once.
  3. In the dashboard, open Settings → Integrations → WooCommerce, paste both along with your store URL, and save.
  4. Click Test connection before you leave the page. A wrong store URL is the usual cause of a connection that silently never syncs.

What syncs, and which way

Direction
Products, variants, prices, imagesStore → here
Stock levelsStore → here
Orders and their statusStore → here
CustomersStore → here
Order notes and tags you add in the inboxHere → store
Order status changes made hereHere → store

Changes arrive by webhook as they happen, rather than on a polling schedule, so the inbox is current rather than five minutes behind.

The two automations worth turning on

Abandoned cart. Set the wait (an hour or two works for most stores), pick the template, and it sends the cart back with a link. It stops itself the moment the order completes, so nobody is chased about something they have already bought.

COD confirmation. Confirm cash-on-delivery orders on WhatsApp before shipping. One button for the buyer, and the no costs you a message instead of a round trip. For most Indian stores this pays for the subscription on its own.

Both are under Automations, and both need an approved template — see Get your message templates approved.

When a sync fails

Failures are visible rather than silent. Open Settings → Integrations → Failures to see what did not go through, the reason, and a Retry button.

The usual causes:

  • Shopify: the app was uninstalled, or its permissions were changed. Reinstall.
  • WooCommerce: the API key was revoked, the store URL changed, or a security plugin is blocking requests. Check the key first.
  • Both: the store was unreachable when the webhook fired. Retry — that is what the queue is for.

If retries keep failing with the same message, send us that message at the address on the contact page and we will read it with you.
